S.E.R.K.U.’s hierarchy follows the Japanese tradition of the Menkyo titles and the Dan ranking.

The Menkyo titles are representative of virtue, spirit and Budoka’s offer.

Gakushi minimum age 18 years old, minimum practice time 5 years

Junshi     minimum age 24 years old, minimum practice time 10 years

Renshi    minimum age 30 years old, minimum practice time 15 years

Kyoshi    minimum age 45 years old, minimum practice time 30 years

Hanshi    minimum age 50 years old, minimum practice time 35 years

The Dan ranks concerning the following scale.

1st Dan

2nd Dan

3rd Dan

4th Dan

5th Dan

The 5th Dan forms the higher technical rank, according to the educational and the examination curriculum of S.E.R.K.U., complying thus to the tradition inherited by the great Masters, Gishin Funakochi and Shigeru Egami
